BRITISH sports car maker Ginetta has launched a stunning new racing car at the Autosport International show.
The G57 is designed as a track day machine for well-heeled enthusiasts, and sits above Ginetta's more affordable offerings.
The G57 weighs less than 900kg and is powered by a Chevrolet-sourced 6.3-litre LS3 V8, developed in-house by Ginetta engineers. Surrounding it is a fully-enclosed aero body, making it eligible to compete in sports car racing series across the globe.
Keen enthusiasts with £200,000 to spend can also use the G57 on track days where it would be significantly faster than supercars costing twice as much.
Lawrence Tomlinson, Chairman of Ginetta, said: I am delighted to finally be able to show the G57 to the public and what better place to launch the car than Autosport International! The reception has been fantastic so far, and they havent even heard the engine running yet! The team in Leeds have worked incredibly hard to develop this car and we cant wait to show you what its made of throughout 2016.
